CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY
Does your body feel like it’s forgotten how to rest or how to feel?
Whether it’s the heavy, tight knot in your back that carries the weight of your daily stress, the persistent fog of a headache, or the invisible toll of past trauma, physical pain is rarely just physical. Often, it’s a sign that your system is stuck in a cycle of "bracing," unable to find its way back to ease. When we are always bracing, we become disconnected; we lose our sensuality and our ability to truly inhabit our bodies.
Cranio-Sacral Therapy meets you exactly where you are.
Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases deep-seated tension in the body’s connective tissues to help your nervous system shift from a state of 'fight-or-flight' into true, restorative healing.
During a session, the practitioner delicately tunes into your body, placing their hands on various areas such as the head, feet, back, arms, and legs. By observing subtle movements and imbalances, they guide you back to a state of balance. The treatment is carried out with the patient fully clothed, lying down or seated.
Experience relief that goes deeper than the surface:
Quiet the Noise: soften the impact of chronic stress and anxiety.
Unburden the Body: release the tension held in your spine and shoulders.
Restore Your Flow: move from a state of "surviving" to a state of balance.

Our faces reflect the unique narratives of our lives. They bear witness to our moments of joy, trauma, fear, and tension. Dental procedures and facial injuries can lead to compression or asymmetry, impacting not only the face but also the skull. This, in turn, can manifest as headaches, tinnitus, clenched jaw, neck or back pain, and sinus issues.
Through gentle manipulation of the facial bones and muscles, we facilitate the release of deeply-held tensions. This process restores a profound sense of balance, decompression, and relaxation that resonates throughout the entire body.

CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY FOR COUPLES
Find your way back to each other through stillness
In the rush of daily demands, it’s easy for your relationship to feel like just another item on the to-do list, rather than a source of comfort. When you are both over-stimulated and physically exhausted, the tension you carry individually makes it harder to feel close to the person right next to you.
These Couples' Guided Sessions offer a rare space to exhale together.
Instead of more talking or work, this session uses the gentle principles of Cranio-Sacral Therapy to help both of your nervous systems move out of survival mode and back into sync. In this private session, you will learn how to use your own hands to quiet your partner’s nervous system. Using simple, non-invasive techniques you will develop the skills to directly support each other’s physical and emotional release in a way that words cannot.
You will be guided through:
The Cranio-Sacral therapeutic touch
The Emotional Centres
Grounding techniques
Healing through stillness
What to expect from the experience:
Active Connection: learn how to "tune in" to a partner’s physical tension through a gentle, supportive touch.
The Power of Co-Regulation: experience how settling one's own system helps a partner’s body finally "let go."
Skill-Building for the Home: gain practical, hands-on tools to soothe each other’s headaches, back tension, and stress long after the session ends.
No previous experience is necessary - the session is designed to be a safe, guided introduction to the healing power of touch.

I have had plenty of hands on work, however it is rare I receive a treatment from a genuine healer. Louise is one of those few.
She is intuitive and is able to therapeutically connect at a deep, almost spiritual level.

Wonderful! I have done body work professionally since 1992 and during my training and personal experience, I have had plenty of hands on work, however it is rare I receive a treatment from a genuine healer.
Louise is one of those few. She is intuitive and is able to therapeutically connect at a deep, almost spiritual level. This therapy extends far beyond a "massage" I had cranio and sound therapy and I would absolutely recommend Louise to a family member or friend. Thank you!

I was thrilled to find out there is a cranial practitioner in Barbados! I use this modality at home, in California, every 2 months and it really helps me rebalance and reset my nervous system. Louise was very professional, experienced and had a lovely presence. She also used some sound healing in her session, which was a bonus! I left the session feeling rejuvenated and rested. Highly recommend!

This was my first cranial session and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Louise had a great sense of presence and I was in such a peaceful state afterwards. I will definitely be back for more of her cranial session. This was my first cranial session and I thoroughly enjoyed it. ABOUT CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY
Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) was born out of Osteopathy by Dr William Garner Sutherland in the early 1900’s, who examined the human skull for many years and concluded that the bones of the skull were capable of small movements (counter to the conventional understanding that the bones of the skull fused around the age of 25 and after which could not move). Furthermore, he found this movement occurred in all tissues of the body which he termed primary respiration.
Sutherland went on to find that obstruction of these bones to move freely also caused physical, emotional and cognitive disturbances. He found that the structures and the tissues of the body responded to a fundamental pulse in the cerebrospinal fluid (which bathes the brain and spinal cord). He called this the Breath of Life and surmised that by working with the potency of the Breath of Life, the practitioner could enhance their patient’s well-being and vitality.
An ancient Egyptian papyrus scroll dating to at least 1500 BCE, the Edwin Smith Papyrus, is believed to be the oldest known manuscript on trauma – specifically neurotrauma and recommended remedies for the treatment of skull fractures. The text is also the first to reference the word brain and to mention, what we now refer to as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). It was not until the 18th century that CSF was accepted as being a normal constituent of the human. Before this time many physicians referred to the fluid as pneuma (spirit) or considered it to be a pathological sign. CSF flows from the head (cranium) to the base of the spine (sacrum), therefore the therapeutic practice was coined Cranio-Sacral Therapy by Dr John Upledger in the 1970s.
Louise received her diploma in Cranio-Sacral Therapy in 2018 from the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy - North, under the tutelage of Angela Pau, Sam Lowi, Andrew Stones, Elissa Dell and Steph Fowler.
